Default Is This Something to be Fixed?

My guild has the Hunters Isle, as our Guild Hall. We just faced a good GvG team, tht when we made a mistake at the flag , they pushed us back to our Hall and Lord. They all pushed in and thinking we had a good chance fighting them of we confronted them on the steps, trappin a few and killing them above( taking longer thn we thought) . What we did not realise was a Nec/mon was standing outside our base spamming healparty and Aegis, also parasitic bond. We had no clue he was there also tht he was prob hanging at their own gate doing this while we were fighting them at the flagstand. I totaly don;t blame anyone for using this tactic , it is smart to do. But is this a Bug? that someone tht far away can not only heal their party but aegis them also?

Not hating the team tht did this at all!!!
Just asking

Not a bug. Heal Party and Aegis both work at radar range.

I hear ya, but that is a long radar range. Also through a bases walls seems wrong. I guess what I hate the most is that we could not see the person at all. We held this high ranked guild for awhile but could never figure out why our dmg was not strong enough. They played great, but if we cannot see them on the mini map why can they just stand there and spam these pretty good skills?

Heal Party is definitely a powerful spell to be spamming at range, and that alone can be enough to counter any kind of degen damage. The downside is, you pretty much have to devote an entire character to doing it, so you don't get any of the other things the character can offer to the party. It's not necessarily unbalanced, but it does weaken degen and pressure in general.

Worse than the Heal Party guy is the backline Ritualist, who sits out of range and spams spirits which really screw you up. He's equally untouchable.

While I think it might be interesting if these were fixed, you have to play the game you're given and learn to counter it. Don't base your offense purely around degen and allow for a quick spike and you should do alright against powered heal party guys like this.

Holding down the ctrl key (and I do alt at the same time) while scanning around is the best way to see things, as it shows slightly beyond radar range.

Note: to be technically accurate, the game's version of "radar range" is exactly what holding ctrl shows and is the same range as aegis, heal party, orders, maintained enchantments, and grayed out party members. It just happens that that range is slightly larger than what your minimap shows.

This is a pretty standard base assault tactic tbh

Most balanced teams run a Heal Party spammer (often on the runner) just for this reason. Tactics like these are employed in maps like meditation a lot, for the HP spammer can be on top of the ridge and do the same.

Still it is not difficult to outdamage the Heal party, for its expensive and rather slow. Just focus your damage and shut down the monks and you will kill... make sure you involve as many NPCs in the fight inside the base.

In general you lost the battle when you retreat to you own base (Morale bonusses, no space for tactical moves etc... VoD disadvantage, for many NPCs will die) so be careful with this, unless you know what you are doing.

owww and Greedy Gus's advice on scanning is always the best. COunt your opponents, and make sure you know where te missing ones are (runners, long range support, gankers)

I personally like that it has that much range, because it already costs 15 energy, and has a long casting time, so standing in the middle of the action is like asking to be interrupted. Other than that, what they said

Does feast of souls heal limited to the radar range, or does it effect the entire party anywhere? I've not tested it.
Either way, I can see both heal party and feast of souls keeping a team alive for a long long time if the spammer isn't found.

Control is your friend.
